Swarovski, an Austrian imitation crystal manufacturer, announced yesterday that after "successful appearances" in the US and Canadian markets, the company is preparing to promote and cultivate the diamond product Swarovski Created Diamonds globally.

Cultivating diamonds will become an important component of Swarovski's global strategy, and the company will debut the boutique jewelry series Galaxy, personally designed by its global creative director Giovanna Engelbert, at its flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York this autumn. The cultivated diamonds used in this series (and other future series) are certified by IGI and graded according to the 4C standard.
