This ring is cut in emerald, 13.84 carats, D-color, VVS2 transparent diamond, between three layers of cut diamonds, and was sold for $699000 at an auction in New York on Monday. The estimated value of this work is between 600000 and 900000 US dollars.
Other jewelry that sparked interest at the auction include designer JAR's three pairs of earrings. One of them features oval shaped center stones of garnet and red tourmaline, as well as 2.20 carat diamonds, priced at $229100. The same goes for a pair of tourmalines. The other is Paisley shaped olivine, tourmaline, sapphire, and diamonds, earning $203700.
Several other pieces of jewelry have also found buyers, including the 1910 Belle É poque brooch with 11 carats of old cut diamonds on it, and Harry Winston's diamond pendant necklace.
