In 2023, Henan's super-hard materials industry ushered in unprecedented opportunities. Lou Yangsheng, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, served as the head of the super-hard material industry chain, vigourously promoting the strategic reshaping of the development system of the super-hard material industry, accelerating the reconstruction of the innovation ecology, and the comprehensive rise of the reconstruction of advantages. In July, the super-hard materials industry-university-research docking meeting was held in the Economic Development Zone to promote the cooperation between schools and enterprises, and to jointly seek a blueprint for the development of super-hard materials. In September, Henan Sifangda Superhard Materials Co., Ltd., the first listed company in the field of composite super-hard materials in China, opened the "700,000-carat functional diamond industrialisation project" in Zhengzhou. The construction of the district has started to provide a "hard core" guarantee for the creation of a modern ultra-hard material industry chain with global competitiveness. From grinding "industrial teeth" to advancing into the "industrial blue sea", the "hard core" attack of super-hard material enterprises in the Jingkai District.
Connore new technologies and build a new platform
As the first of 28 key industrial chains, the super-hard material industry in our province has been at the forefront of innovation and development. Since the beginning of this year, the innovation ecology has been accelerated to reconstruct, the technology has been comprehensively promoted, and a number of innovation platforms have been established one after another.
Henan United Precision Materials Co., Ltd. is a special new "small giant" enterprise that continues to cultivate in-depth research and original innovation of nano-micron diamond products. At present, it has formed three product systems: diamond fine abrasives, diamond fluid abrasives and diamond precision tools, realising from micro powders, products and composite materials. The multi-field layout of materials has contributed to the industry innovative products such as polycrystalline diamond, reunion diamond, nano-diamond, diamond fluid abrasive, diamond grinding pad, etc.
"Our newly developed micron-level control large-grain diamond, SiC wafer processing complete set of independent solutions, diamond grinding pads and other products to fill the industry gap." Wang Jing, the chairman of the company, introduced.
The project is the king, and the ecology is built
As the advantageous industrial chain of our province, since the beginning of this year, new projects in the super-hard material industry chain have been continuous, various resource elements have been optimised and integrated, and the industrial ecology has been continuously improved.
Entering Henan Sifangda Superhard Materials Co., Ltd., located in Jingkai District, Zhengzhou, the exhibition hall is full of "industrial teeth" revealing the company's profound technical expertise. Sifangda produces oil/natural gas drilling polycrystalline diamond composite sheet, precision jiag-diamond blade, super-hard knives and other products. The product continues to lead in China and is exported to the European and American markets.
Ma Kai, the director of the company's office, said that Sifangda is optimistic about the development prospects of the CVD diamond market, including CVD diamond in the core strategy, boldly innovated, and increased investment in research and development. A total of 200 million yuan has been invested to complete the development and verification of MPCVD equipment and CVD diamond synthesis process, and the construction of independent technology. The annual output of 200,000 carat functional diamond production line has been completed and put into production.
"The newly built '700,000 carats of functional diamond industrialisation project' newly started in September this year adopts independently developed MPCVD equipment and processes. After it is completed and put into production, it will further consolidate and enhance Henan's dominant position in CVD diamond production," Ma Kai said. At present, the project is being carried out in an orderly workshop. For the transformation and production line construction, it is expected that the production line commissioning and trial production will begin in the first half of 2024, and the annual output value after production will exceed 700 million yuan.
